Introduction and Acceptance of Terms

These Booking Terms ("Terms") govern all vehicle rental reservations made through podgoricadrive.com, operated in connection with licensed car hire suppliers serving Podgorica, Podgorica Municipality, Montenegro. By completing a reservation on this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms in their entirety.

These Terms apply to all rental transactions regardless of the pickup location - whether at Podgorica Airport (TGD), downtown Podgorica, or any designated hotel or partner delivery point. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not proceed with a booking.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version published at the time of your booking confirmation shall govern your reservation.

Eligibility Requirements

Minimum Age

The primary driver must be at least 21 years of age at the time of vehicle pickup. Drivers aged 21 to 24 may be subject to a young driver surcharge, which will be clearly displayed during the booking process. For premium, luxury, or SUV categories, the minimum age requirement may be 25 years. All applicable surcharges are shown before payment is confirmed.

Valid Driving License

All drivers must hold a full, valid driving license issued in their country of residence and must have held that license for a minimum of 12 months. Licenses issued in EU member states, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, and Australia are accepted without additional documentation. Drivers whose license is issued in a non-Latin script (including Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, or similar) must present both the original license and a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) at vehicle pickup.

Additional Drivers

Additional drivers may be added to the rental agreement at the time of pickup. Each additional driver must meet all eligibility requirements and must present their driving license at the rental counter. An additional driver fee may apply and will be communicated at the time of booking or at pickup.

Reservations, Cancellations, and No-Shows

Reservation Process

Reservations are made online via podgoricadrive.com. A booking confirmation will be sent to the email address provided at the time of reservation. Please check your confirmation details carefully, including pickup date, time, location, and vehicle category. It is your responsibility to ensure all details are accurate before arrival.

Free Cancellation Policy

Most reservations on this platform qualify for free cancellation up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. The specific cancellation window applicable to your booking will be confirmed in your booking summary and email confirmation. Where free cancellation applies, no charge will be levied on the payment method used at the time of booking.

Late Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled pickup time may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to one day's rental rate. Failure to collect the vehicle at the agreed time and location without prior notice (a "no-show") may result in the full rental amount being charged. If your flight is delayed, please contact us as soon as possible using the details at the end of these Terms.

Pricing, Payment, and Included Extras

Displayed Currency and Pricing

All prices displayed on podgoricadrive.com are shown in Euros (EUR). Quoted daily rates include basic third-party liability insurance and, where specified, Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). Unlimited mileage is included on all standard bookings unless expressly stated otherwise in your booking summary.

No Deposit and Debit Card Acceptance

A core benefit of booking through this platform is that no security deposit is required and no credit card hold is placed on your account at the time of reservation or pickup. A standard Visa or Mastercard debit card is accepted. You will not be asked to pre-authorize a large sum against your card simply to collect the vehicle.

Optional Extras

The following optional extras may be selected during the booking process or requested at the rental counter, subject to availability:

• Child seat (infant, toddler, or booster) - per day fee applies
• GPS navigation unit - per day fee applies
• Additional driver - per rental fee applies
• Full coverage upgrade (Super CDW / Zero Excess) - per day fee applies
• Cross-border travel permit (required for entry into Croatia, Albania, or Bosnia and Herzegovina)

Fuel Policy

The standard fuel policy is full-to-full: the vehicle is provided with a full tank of fuel and must be returned with a full tank. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than provided, a refueling charge will apply at the prevailing local rate plus a service fee. Pre-purchase fuel options may be available at the counter for certain vehicles.

Permitted and Prohibited Use of the Vehicle

Lawful Use

The rented vehicle may only be used in accordance with the laws of Montenegro and any other country for which a cross-border permit has been authorized. The vehicle must be operated only by the named driver(s) on the rental agreement and only for lawful purposes.

Prohibited Activities

The following uses are strictly prohibited and may result in the immediate termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of all charges paid, and full liability for any resulting damage or loss:

• Use of the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs driving ability
• Use for motor racing, rallying, or any form of competitive driving event
• Off-road driving on unsurfaced tracks, riverbeds, or terrain not suitable for the vehicle category rented
• Subletting or transferring the vehicle to any person not named on the rental agreement
• Transporting the vehicle by ferry, train, or other carrier without prior written consent
• Use for the transportation of goods for commercial purposes or for hire and reward
• Driving outside the approved geographic territory without a valid cross-border permit

Please note that Montenegro's Moraca Canyon road, the Durmitor National Park access roads, and certain mountain passes near Zabljak may require higher ground clearance. We recommend selecting an SUV category for these routes and confirming vehicle suitability before departure.

Insurance and Liability

Included Coverage

All vehicles rented through this platform include mandatory third-party liability insurance as required under Montenegrin law, and a standard Collision Damage Waiver (CDW). CDW reduces - but does not eliminate - the renter's financial exposure in the event of damage to or theft of the rented vehicle.

Excess Amount

The excess (also called the deductible) is the maximum amount you may be charged in the event of a covered incident, regardless of the total damage cost. The applicable excess amount for your booking is shown on your booking confirmation and varies by vehicle category. Economy category excess is typically EUR 500 to EUR 800; SUV and premium categories may carry a higher excess.

Optional Full Coverage

A Super CDW or Zero Excess upgrade is available as an optional extra. When purchased, this reduces your excess liability to zero for most covered incidents. Exclusions may apply for damage to tyres, windscreen, underbody, roof, or interior, and for incidents caused by prohibited use as defined above.

Exclusions

Insurance coverage is void in circumstances including but not limited to: driving under the influence, use in violation of these Terms, damage caused during prohibited off-road use, and incidents involving unnamed drivers. In such circumstances the renter accepts full personal liability for all costs.

Limitation of Liability

podgoricadrive.com operates as a booking platform connecting renters with licensed vehicle rental suppliers in Montenegro. While we make every effort to ensure accuracy of pricing, vehicle availability, and supplier information, we do not own or directly operate the rental fleet.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Montenegrin law, our liability to you in connection with any booking is limited to the total amount paid for that reservation. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental losses including loss of enjoyment, missed connections, or travel costs arising from supplier-side issues.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Montenegro. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or a booking made through podgoricadrive.com shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Podgorica, Montenegro.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable under applicable law, that provision shall be severed and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
